Every once in a while all a girl needs is a burger date with her friends. This was me today and my friends were very happy to join this movement, so we headed to Social on Main for an afternoon of delicious Burgers and Gin & Tonic. Seeing as Social is one of our most trusted after work drinks spot we were pretty amped to finally try out their food. They have everything else from great service, to amazing cocktails and a vibey atmosphere perfectly covered. If you are looking to get into an awesome weekend mood then this is definitely the spot.
Now on to their burgers:
We tried the Popcorn Chicken Burger with burnt sweetcorn slaw and spicy mayo. This burger was just packed with all kinds of different flavours. Flavours that worked so brilliantly well together that even I was shocked. To be honest I wasn’t convinced about this burger when reading the menu but I am glad I went with it, it was absolutely delightful.
The other burger that my friends tried was the Social Burger which had a juicy and succulent patty, which was topped with crispy bacon, melted cheddar cheese and golden crisp onions. From what I could tell they totally enjoyed it as everyone just went dead silent for a few minutes lol. The cheese was melted perfectly and the patty was juicy and beautifully spiced, it just melted in your mouth they say.
My final thoughts on the burgers at Social is, delicious, delicious , delicious, slightly pricey but still absolutely delicious. You can look at spending R400 for two including two drinks. Social on Main is a great spot for drinks with friends and also for hosting parties. The service is great and you will always bump into some interesting people here, one of the reasons why I like it so much.
The burgers look devine. I have just found out that I am gluten intolerant as well as allergic to tomatoes, so burgers and most fast food is now history for me.
I’m pretty sure saw some gluten free options on the menu. I’m not a big fan of tomatoes.
YUM! And if they have a gluten-free option, I’m in. Well. Except for the travel time from Texas, I’d so give it a try! Thanks for stopping by formidableWoman today!
