Just when you think South Africa can’t get any better then I remember things like our awesome 24 hour Tshakhuma Fruit Market in Venda. It’s situated in my home province of Limpopo and it is just 17km west of Thohoyandou on the Road to Makhado (Louis Trichardt). This is undoubtedly the best fruit market in the world, yeah I said it. The fruits are always fresh, vibrant, ripe and just out of this world, best quality ever. The best Avocados in the world come from Venda so you can just imagine what the other fruit tastes like. I can’t wait to get creating with all the fruit I bought at the market today. I will be sure to post up recipes for you guys soon. This post is so random but I just had to let you guys know where my amazing fruits come from 🙂 LOL – This is what you call FRUIT HEAVEN they have everything from bananas, oranges, avocados, nectarines, mangoes, litchis, pawpaws, tree nuts, macadamias and pecan nuts. The best part about the market is that everything is cheap, everything is priced between R20 -R50/$2 … Next time you are in Limpopo make sure to head to Venda and pass by the market the views in Venda are also something to marvel at it’s just spectacular! HAPPY SUNDAY FRUITY TUTTIES!

How fortunate to have close access to this. It sounds/looks amazing! The only place I know that might rival it is the Pike Place Public Market in Seattle. Lucky you!
