Hey Foodies, I have some exciting news for you, SUMTING FRESH is back and with a BANG! Hezron Louw and Andrew Leeuw are opening the Sumting Fresh doors again at 79 Grant Avenue, from the 20th of April. With their inspiring passion for food you can expect nothing but fresh quality, mouthwatering food with mind blowing flavours.
The Sumting Fresh Menu will now comprise of old favourites such as the Bugatti Burger as well as some exciting new additions such as the Funghi Bao. The restaurant menu has now gone from having just 4 items, to now having more than 10 items, which is super exciting. What’s even more exciting is they will be launching a new brunch menu soon (look out for that) which will have a unique spin on “Deep Fried Chicken Waffles.” Once again when it comes to the chilli sauces that give the food that supercalifragilisticexpialidocious kick, they are all homemade, because these guys are just that good (all thanks to grandma) no need for store bought sauces, lol.
When it comes to the bar you are spoiled with a good selection of refreshing fruity jam jar cocktails (non-alcoholic included), local wines and craft beers. 
After attending the restaurant reboot today I must say, I am super impressed. I am a big fan of the whole street food styling in a restaurant setting. You can relax over good food and good conversations without feeling the pressure of having to impress anyone. It’s a great space to be in when you are in the mood to be inspired and just feel positive vibes. The owners and staff are all super funky & friendly (lots of jokes and smiles), so you can always expect 5 star treatment when you stop by.
My favourite items on the menu that you guys should try out are the:
- Dream Chicken, Fried Chicken & Caviar Dreams: Who knew Fried Chicken & Caviar could go so well together.
- Gua Bao: Buttermilk Thighs with Marinated Black Mushrooms
- Tempura Living: Deep Fried Hake & Aioli
For those of you that aren’t able to make it to the restaurant you can always catch the Sumting Fresh food stalls at your favourite local farmers markets and festivals or you can book them to cater at your next event.
