Mount Grace Country House And Spa

After a long 10 days of being stuck indoors and inactive due to tonsillitis, I finally managed to get some time to go away for a few days and enjoy the great outdoors. The Mount Grace Country House and Spa was the destination of choice and I must say it was a pretty damn good choice. From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly, attentive and always available at every call(Theo is a gem). They got us all checked in and escorted us to our rooms, we were booked into the Luxury rooms which had the best mountain views, making the sunrise extra special every morning. Our rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were super comfortable (my dumbass didn’t even realise that the beds had electric blankets LOL). Each room had a large bathtub and separate shower,I honestly didn’t expect the rooms to be that big and I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that each room had it’s own private balcony.

Each morning we would wake up and go for a walk around the premises and to our surprise we always ended up bumping into feeding monkeys which was pretty awesome. Unfortunately I was in no condition to enjoy the beautiful pools all around the hotel but my friends did and clearly enjoyed them a little too much because getting them to stop swimming took forever. When it comes to the food I must say I found it to be a little bit average and bland for such a beautiful place. From what I was told there is a separate fine-dinning restaurant which we clearly missed memo on, where I’m guessing all the magic happens. Nonetheless the food should always be of the best quality all around at all touch points in my opinion.

Mount Grace is an absolutely beautiful place I can just imagine how gorgeous it looks in the summer. The rooms are pricey so make sure you save for this one, you can look at spending anything from R1900-R5000 a night. Situated in the beautiful Magaliesburg you can expect tranquility at it’s best. The best part is it’s only an hour and thirty minutes out of Johannesburg.

Reasons to book here:
Beautiful Views – Be one with nature
Amazing service
Spacious Rooms
Morning Monkey Visits
Beautiful Pools
Lots of other awesome things, visit them and see for yourself

  1. I would book there without even seeing the rooms lol. I mean do you see the view? I am in awe of everything. You’re making me want to go to South Africa now :).
