If you’re after a polished Italian lunch in Parkhurst, Modena delivers a well-rounded experience. It’s the kind of spot that feels elevated but still relaxed enough for a midday catch-up.
That said, if we’re talking strictly about food, you could get better at Kolonaki Greek Kouzina, but Modena still holds its own when you factor in the full experience.
What We Ordered
Pesto con Stracciatella
Fusilli tossed in a creamy basil pesto with Parmesan, pine nuts, olive oil, lemon juice, and topped with stracciatella. This was the standout dish, rich, flavourful, and perfectly balanced. Comfort food done right.

Pizza Pancetta, Avocado e Feta
Tomato, mozzarella, bacon, avocado, and feta. Exactly what you’d expect from a good pizza, crispy base, generous toppings, and satisfying flavours. Not groundbreaking, but very enjoyable.

Risotto Agnello
A lamb risotto with braised lamb shoulder, lamb jus, spring onion, chives, and Parmesan. While well cooked, the lamb needed a bit more depth and punch. It didn’t quite match the flavour intensity of the pasta.

Drinks & Atmosphere
The cocktails were a highlight, delicious, well-balanced, and a great addition to the meal.
Modena really shines in its atmosphere. It’s stylish, lively, and feels like an occasion even at lunch. Service was also a strong point, attentive, friendly, and seamless throughout.

Final Verdict
Rating: 7.5/10
While you might find stronger flavours elsewhere, Modena is a solid all-rounder. It’s not just about the food, it’s about the vibe, the drinks, and the overall experience.
