Three Rosé Wines To Try This Summer

Summer’s in full swing, which brings with it long lazy days. Sunset gatherings, socialising with friends at a braai  or around the pool, or simply taking advantage of the glorious weather. Summer is also synonymous with chilled white or rosé wines, and this is where these three rosé  wines will help  you make the most of this much loved season.

Middelvlei’s Cinsaut Rosé 2020: Made from 100% Cinsaut grapes, the fruit was sourced from only the best vineyards in the Western Cape. This has resulted in a superb dry wine with delicate Summer berry and watermelon flavours. The Cinsaut Rosé 2020 is best served chilled. Enjoy on its own while taking in the breath-taking sunsets or pair with grilled seafood or chicken dishes. This wine also pairs perfectly with a black olive tapenade, or seasonal inspired salads such as a Niçoise.  Available directly from the Tasting Room at R105 per bottle, or select outlets nationwide

De Krans’ Pinotage Rosé: has a delicate, light pink colour with a refreshing, crisp acidity and fruit character of red fruit flavours on the palate. De Krans Wines is situated in the warmer Klein Karoo region, therefore resulting in more intense fruit flavours. The wine retails for approximately R68 per bottle.

Van Loveren’s Almost Zero Ravishing Rosé: The perfect substitute when you’re trying to enjoy an alcohol free summer day. This rosé shows all the divine colours of the traditional favourite with ever-present flavours of Turkish delight. Enjoy as a healthy aperitif or with oriental dishes, desserts and pizza. Better yet try your hand at making a delicious Almost Zero mocktail or sorbet. Available at most retailers which include Pick ‘n Pay, Makro, Spar, Checkers and Agrimark. The retail price is just R69.99

Get your hands on these spectacular wines and enjoy your super chilled summer break.
