Fun Tourist Things To Do In Bali, Indonesia

Bali is surely one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world and now I know why. Everything about the place is just so spiritually welcoming and from the minute you land you are met with heaps and heaps of positive vibes. After exploring the island for a few days I can tell you with confidence it is one of the most beautiful places on earth.  Everything from the people to the food and tourist attractions is just spectacular.  During my trip I tried to visit as many tourist spots as possible but in order for me to see everything I would need like a whole month in Bali lol.

Bali has a wide variety of tourists attractions that one can explore, everything from temples, markets, beaches, museums, waterfalls, caves, coffee tasting and zoos. During my stay I managed to visit a few of these attractions and I think they are all well worth a visit if you are ever in Bali. Some attractions are more expensive than others but all money well spent considering on most of them your meals are all inclusive. Here is a list of some of the attractions I visited that you should try:

Ulun Danu Beratan Temple: If you are ever in a mood for some spiritual healing and peace of mind then the cool, crisp mountain breeze at the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is what you need. From the moment you walk through the temple grounds you just feel all your problems get lifted it’s such a magical experience. The majestic mist that covers the mountain tops also adds that much needed serenity to the whole experience. It is by far one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced in my life. It’s very hard to explain it’s one of those things you just have to experience for yourself. R50/$3 gets you in to this magical place.

Bali Swing: This has become one of the more popular tourist attractions in Bali and on everyones bucket list because it’s what social media addicts would call Instagram goals lol. If you are not afraid of heights and want to see the Bali jungle form a different point of view then the swings is a must. You can enjoy unlimited amounts of swing time on all the different swings and you even get a free meal and drink included in your ticket price of just R350 /$24 which is a bargain if you ask me. The Swing was one of the more underwhelming experiences for me but it’s a nice to have for memories.

Coffee Tasting At Luwak Coffee Bali: One can not go to Bali and not try their famous Luwak coffee. If you are a coffee lover then this is a must. Luwak coffee is one of the best coffees you will ever taste, makes sense why it’s so damn expensive. While at the coffee plantation you can try over 20 different coffee and tea flavours. If you are a tea lover like me then you will end up walking away with bags and bags of delicious tea. I ended up buying Vanilla & Coconut flavoured coffee, Turmeric tea and ginger tea. The Luwak coffee retails for about R800 /$78 but my coffee loving friends say it’s well worth it!

Toya Devasya Natural Hot Spring: Bali’s best healing hot springs water. On those days when you are looking to just relax and rejuvenate then Toya Devasya is a definite must, it’s about an hours drive away from Seminyak but well worth it. Another one of those majestic experiences in Bali, I swear most of these Bali attractions will bring you out a peace within you that you never even knew existed.  For this experience you can look at spending R250/ $25 which includes transport and food.

Tegenungan Waterfall: Another one of those Majestic Bali experiences is visiting the waterfalls and this is apparently not even the best there is. Unfortunately the other amazing ones were a bit far so we ended up at Tegenungan where we had another magical time and even made loads of new friends. It’s just a mere 165 stairs walk/hike but so worth it. The waters are refreshing and a great way to cool off in that Bali heat. R15 / $6 gets you access. The market at Tegenungan is also one of the more cheaper markets you will find in Bali so save your coins and buy your friends and family gifts here.  Rainbows, refreshing breeze, beautiful smiles and a land full of love what is there not to love about this place?

Bali Zoo: Lol I know some of you might think I am crazy for including the Zoo on this list but it was one of those last minute things we did and totally enjoyed. The Zoo is super huge with an entire water theme park inside, some of the animals roam around freely which was quite an experience (yes we were afraid of some of them) lol. At the Zoo you can book elephant rides, feed the elephants, take pictures with the monkeys, tigers and crocodiles or simply enjoy a delicious lunch at the multiple restaurants around the zoo grounds. Zoo entrance is about R400 / R$37 per person and you pay an additional fee for riding the elephants and feeding them.

Other Awesome Bali Attractions which I wanted to visit but didn’t have enough time to explore because there are just not enough hours in a day:

Visit Tanah Lot Temple
Take pics with Monkeys at Monkey Forrest
Bathe in the sacred waters of Tirta Empul
Visit the 3D Museum

There is a lot to see and do in Bali so if you can, book for 10 days or more otherwise your days will just be spent in traffic trying to get from one attraction to the other. Give yourself enough time to explore and enjoy.
