If you’re looking for a cosy restaurant for a winter date night, Zor Dainfern might just be worth adding to your list. With its calm, relaxing atmosphere and warm ambience, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay for dessert and long conversations.
We started dinner with the Prawns in Garlic Butter (Gambas al Ajillo) served with artisanal bread. The prawns were delicious and coated in a rich garlic butter sauce that worked perfectly for dipping the bread, earning a 7/10. We also tried the Arancini, served on a bed of arrabbiata sauce, crispy on the outside, comforting and flavourful on the inside.

For mains, we ordered the Chicken Supreme, served with creamy herbed mashed potato, dry wine sauce and seasonal vegetables. Comforting and hearty, it felt like the perfect winter dish. The Beef Rib Eye with hasselback potatoes was equally enjoyable, tender, flavourful and well cooked. Both mains scored a 7.8/10.

Overall, Zor Dainfern delivers a solid dining experience with good food, a relaxing setting and the kind of ambience that makes it ideal for a chilled dinner date. Not a mind-blowing meal, but definitely a spot we’d come back to for the vibe alone.
