Fairview’s latest release, Altesse 2024, marks a bold new chapter in their acclaimed Regional Revival Range and it’s their very first white blend in the collection. Inspired by the classic white wines of Bordeaux but shaped by the wild beauty of Darling’s coastal terroir, Altesse is a vibrant blend of 55% Sauvignon Blanc and 45% Sémillon that captures the salty sea breeze and sunlit hills of the West Coast.
Named after the French word for “highness” and a clever nod to altitude and sea, Altesse is a wine of elegance, freshness, and layered complexity. Expect aromas of white peach, lime, and a subtle sea spray, with a zippy palate that lingers with citrus and mineral notes. It’s the perfect match for seafood, creamy risottos, or aged cheese.

Crafted from dryland-farmed vines rooted in ancient red clay and lime-rich soils, this wine is a true expression of place, cool, coastal, and captivating. Aged in both steel and oak, Altesse offers richness without weight, energy without sharpness.
Fairview Altesse joins the Regional Revival lineup alongside:
-
Homtini (Italian-style red blend),
-
Extraño (a bold Rioja-style red), and
-
Caldera (Southern Rhône GSM blend).
Each wine in the range reimagines Old World classics through a uniquely South African lens, terroir-driven, small-batch, and packed with personality.
