A new home, a new look, and the same powerful purpose, protecting South Africa’s rhinos, one glass at a time.
If you love wine with a story, you are going to want to pour yourself a glass of this.
Rhino Run, the South African wine range that has already contributed over R600 000 toward rhino conservation, has just entered an exciting new chapter, complete with a brand new home and two beautifully refreshed wines.
And no, this is not simply a makeover. It is a full evolution.
A New Home for a Powerful Cause
Rhino Run has officially moved to the Van Loveren Cellar in Worcester, the former home of Overhex Wines. This means the brand now sits under the expert eye of chief winemaker Ben Snyman, the winemaker who created the renowned Survivor range that joined the Van Loveren family last year.
With the move comes a dedicated space where visitors can taste the wines, experience the story, and connect with the conservation mission behind every bottle.
As CEO Philip Retief explains, this marks “a new milestone in its evolution”, one that shines an even brighter spotlight on the brand’s eco mission and Van Loveren’s larger commitment to sustainability.

Same Purpose, Fresh Energy
To celebrate this next chapter, Rhino Run is refocusing on two proudly South African wine heroes,
Chenin Blanc and Pinotage
Both varieties have deep roots in South Africa’s wine history, and now they anchor Rhino Run’s mission as the brand continues to champion wildlife protection.
Poaching has claimed more than 8 000 rhinos since 2008, and Rhino Run remains determined to help tell a story of hope, heritage, and the fight to protect one of Africa’s most iconic animals.

Meet the Wines
Cerato Chenin Blanc
Named after the White Rhino (Ceratotherium simum), Cerato comes from the Greek word for “horn”.
Expect a crisp, bright Chenin with citrus, stone fruit, and gentle tropical notes. A touch of barrel fermentation brings creamy texture and finesse, with a clean preserved lemon finish.

Diceros Pinotage
Inspired by the Black Rhino (Diceros bicornis) and its distinctive double horns.
Rich, bold, and beautifully structured, this Pinotage offers black and red berry fruit, silky tannins, and hints of cherry tobacco. Look for complexity, roasted berries, and deep, plush elegance.
These wines are crafted from specially selected vineyard parcels across the Western Cape and showcase the character, skill, and purpose this range represents.

Visit, Sip, Support
Soon, you will be able to taste the new wines at Rhino Run’s new home on the R60 between Worcester and Robertson. They will also be available online at www.vanloveren.co.za for about R120 per bottle, making conservation a delicious and accessible choice.
Winemaker Ben Snyman captures the spirit of this moment best,
“This range celebrates South Africa’s natural heritage and anchors Rhino Run as a proudly South African wine brand with a clear vision for the future.”
Wine that protects wildlife, celebrates South African terroir, and lets you make a difference with every sip,
That is a cause worth raising a glass to.
