Ocaso Rosebank, My New Taco (and Margarita) Obsession

I finally made it to Ocaso in Rosebank, and let me tell you… this place is a whole vibe. Nestled in the beautiful Oxford Parks, it’s got that perfect mix of chic and cosy , think warm leather couches, macramé cushions, a lush green wall, and sunlight pouring through big glass windows. It’s the kind of spot where you instantly relax, margarita in hand, and just soak it all in.

From the moment we sat down, we knew we were in good hands. Our amazing waiter, Gugu, was an absolute gem  friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. She made the whole experience feel extra special.

Now, let’s talk about the food. We went straight for the beef birria tacos and chicken tacos, and honestly? Life-changing. The beef birria came perfectly crispy on the outside, loaded with tender, slow-cooked beef, melted cheese, fresh onions, and herbs. And that rich, flavour-packed consommé for dipping? I could drink it by the cup. The chicken tacos were just as incredible, juicy, flavourful, and impossible to put down.

We paired them with thick-cut fries and a tangy dipping sauce that was dangerously addictive, plus a couple of ice-cold margaritas that hit all the right notes , zesty, refreshing, and the perfect partner to those tacos. By the end of the meal, we were already planning our next visit.

Ocaso isn’t just about great food,  it’s the atmosphere, the service, the music, the way the space makes you feel like you’re exactly where you need to be. If you go (and you should), order the birria tacos, say hi to Gugu for me, and stay long enough to watch the light fade over Rosebank. Pure magic.

Verdict: I came for the tacos, stayed for the margaritas, and left already planning my return.
