South Africa’s gin game is thriving, and KWV is leading the charge after a major double win at the prestigious World Gin Awards.
Both Imagin Classic London Dry Gin and Cruxland Kalahari Truffle Gin took home Gold medals and were crowned South Africa’s best gins in their categories, reinforcing KWV’s reputation for producing world-class spirits.
Imagin Gin Continues Its Winning Streak
Imagin Classic London Dry Gin was named South Africa’s Best Classic Style Gin for the second consecutive year. Crafted in small batches, the gin is loved for its crisp citrus flavour, smooth finish, and versatility whether enjoyed neat, in a classic G&T, or cocktails.
The latest award also marks an impressive milestone, bringing Imagin’s total to seven international Gold medals in four years.

Cruxland Keeps Raising the Bar
Meanwhile, Cruxland Kalahari Truffle Gin continues to impress globally. Distilled with the rare and aromatic Kalahari truffle (!N’abbas), the premium gin is known for its rich, balanced flavour and lingering finish.
Its latest Gold medal marks nine international Gold wins in six years, adding to an already impressive trophy cabinet that includes being named World’s Best London Dry Gin in 2020.

What’s Next?
After taking top honours in South Africa, both gins will now go up against the world’s best at the global finals in London on 2 June.
One thing is clear: South African gin is making serious waves internationally and KWV is proudly flying the flag high.
