If there’s one thing about Saigon Suzy, it’s that the atmosphere does a lot of the heavy lifting, and honestly, it works. From the moment you walk in, the space feels vibrant, stylish and full of personality. The aesthetic is absolutely stunning, the kind of spot that feels made for long lunches, date nights and cocktails with friends.

What I Ordered
Wok Fried Calamari
Served with cucumber, mint, chilli, lime and coriander dressing, this dish brought really refreshing, bright flavours. The herbs and citrus worked beautifully together and made for a light, vibrant starter. The only downside was the temperature, it arrived slightly cold, which made the calamari a little chewy.
Verdict: 7/10
Delicious flavours and very moreish, but served warmer this could have been even better.

Sticky Asian Ribs
The homemade pork ribs, rubbed, marinated, grilled and chopped, came with rainbow slaw and skinny fries. They were tasty and definitely enjoyable, but again were served slightly cold, and I wanted the flavour to have a bit more punch. A touch more heat, glaze or stickiness would have elevated them.
Verdict: 6/10
Good, very edible comfort food, but not unforgettable.

Cocktails & Service
The cocktails? Delicious. No complaints there. The only issue was timing. It happened to be their bottomless special day, and drinks took forever to arrive, which took some excitement out of the experience. On a less busy day, I imagine the experience lands very differently.

Overall
What makes Saigon Suzy worth visiting is the full package. While the food had some temperature issues, the flavours showed promise, the cocktails delivered, and the venue itself is a whole mood.
Would I go back? Absolutely. For the ambiance alone, yes, and I’d happily return to explore more of the menu.
Overall rating: 6.5/10
Come for the beautiful setting and cocktails, stay for the Asian-inspired small plates and good vibes.
Average SA tip: Go on a quieter day if you can, especially if you want to make the most of the cocktails.
