It has been a cold and long winter in Cape Town, so what better way to welcome spring than toasting with Constantia Glen’s cool climate wines and delicious food on this picturesque, boutique wine estate.
With spring in the air and the weather warming up, Constantia Glen is pulling out all the stops for Heritage Day with live music and an all-South African braai platter available on the menu on Friday, 24 September. Indulge in a generous platter for two of tasty lamb spit braai, boerewors, braaibroodjie, pap poppers with peppadew & cheese, chakalaka, mixed salad and olives. Ideal for sharing, the platter is available at R360.
To avoid disappointment, be sure to make a reservation to enjoy this Heritage Day celebration and pre-order your platters via the ‘book now function’ on the Constanta Glen website http://www.constantiaglen.com.
This generous platter pairs beautifully with the estate’s flagship reds, Constantia Glen THREE 2017 and FIVE 2018. Both reds are elegant expressions of the Bordeaux varieties grown on the upper reaches of the Constantiaberg.
The popular selection of delicious cheese and charcuterie platters, Mediterranean salad or their proudly South African biltong and droëwors – perfect pre-braai morsels – will also be available on Heritage Day.
Live music will be weather dependent so follow @ConstantiaGlen on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for updates on who will be performing.
In keeping with Alert Level 3 regulations, the Constantia Glen tasting room is open Monday to Thursday from 10h00 to 17h00, Fridays and Saturdays from 10h00 to 20h00 and Sundays from 10h00 to 18h00 with strict COVID protocols in place. There is limited seating so booking ahead is recommended.
