Not only is the hotel in the heart of Sandton, giving you easy access to a world of top quality restaurants, bars and shops, it is also every tech savvy travellers dream.

The Rooms: are equipped with 40-inch Samsung smart TV’s with access to streaming services, allowing you to “Netflix & Chill” even when travelling. The rooms also have smartphones that have a fully integrated app allowing you to do everything from accessing your room to making use of the in-room WIFI calling, to order dinner and request laundry services. The rooms are a bit smaller than your average hotel room but they are spacious and comfortable enough for you to enjoy a relaxed stay. For those of you concerned about the Sandton noise don’t worry all the windows are sound proof.

The Food: when it comes to food you are literally spoilt for choice as Nelson Mandela Square has lots of amazing options. You can also try out Aura a restaurant right next to the hotel that offers delicious cafe goods and some unique Portuguese dishes. What I loved most about the restaurant is the fact that they stay open until 11pm everyday, came in handy when I had a random cake craving at 10pm lol (don’t judge) – The cakes are absolutely divine.  Aura is also the perfect breakfast spot if you are staying at the hotel, you might want to get there early as it does get packed. 

Why Stay Here:

• Rooms are affordable you can look at spending anything from R795 a night.
• The hotel is close to all entertainment arrears and a 1 minute walk from the Gautrain and other transport  amenities. It’s literally just 30 steps (if you are short like me then about 50 steps lol) away from Nelson Mandela Square how crazy is that lol.
• The staff are friendly and they give great suggestions about things to do, so ask them if you are not sure on what to get up to in Johannesburg.
• The hotel is perfect if you are travelling for business, the amazing Wifi  Speeds (uncapped & each room has it’s own router) and peace & quiet will make going through your emails an absolute breeze. The walls also have USB ports making it easier for you to charge your devices.

If you are a young traveller that loves everything tech, good food, great service and, then this hotel is a good choice to make. Sandton has a lot of different hotel options but this is one of the few that actually delivers great quality and is good value for money. Treat yourself to some affordable luxury.
