Weekend Away At Cycad Guest House Polokwane

Every once in a while you just need to take a break from the working world and go on a short getaway. That’s exactly what I did recently with a couple of friends and for some odd reason we ended up in Polokwane, Limpopo. Instead of staying at home though since I am from Limpopo, we ended up at staying at Cycad Guest House just so we can get to experience the province like tourists. Funny enough as much as we tried to be tourists the guest house was so comfortable that we actually spent most of our time at there just relaxing and enjoying each others company.

Cycad offers such magnificent service which was one of the main reasons why we just ended up chilling there most of the weekend and not going anywhere else. The staff are helpful, friendly and super efficient which is something I always find lacking at some guest houses in the smaller cities in SA. When it comes to the rooms you can expect large, spacious, modern rooms that have stunning marble bathrooms. The beds are also super comfy and the bedding 100% clean and soft. The rooms are also well stocked with bottled water, coffee and tea, some guest houses tend to just offer you tap water and 2 to 3 sachets of coffee. These guys were well stocked and the bottled water came in handy in the middle of the night when I was feeling dehydrated. In all honesty you can expect your stay at Cycad to be secure, comfortable and absolutely luxurious.

Food lovers, you can enjoy their world class 3 course breakfast every morning in the taste room. For lunch and dinner there’s the amazing Saskia Restaurant on site which offers mind-blowing flavours for every pallet. Fresh, scrumptious, hearty food is what you can expect with out fail. For those of you that are sports and gym fanatics Cycad is perfect for you as it’s conveniently situated close to a Virgin Active , a golf course, swimming pools, bowling greens, soccer fields, tennis courts, karate and judo clubs, Motor-X, dirt tracks and loads of other sports clubs.

Reason to stay here:

Luxurious rooms
5 Star Quality Service
Delicious Food
Comfort levels are on 100%
It’s family friendly so those of you with kids it’s perfect
Pet lovers your pets are allowed but only if a request has been made prior.
Its a 4 Star Guest House

When it comes to the room prices you can look at spending R850 a night per person. Which for a guest house is slightly pricey ( It’s almost the same as hotel pricing) but for the service you receive it’s well worth it.
