My Lagos history class continued today to Freedom Park, which is a memorial and leisure park dedicated to preserving the Lagos colonial heritage and history of the Old Board Street Prison. It is way and I mean waaaaaaay better than the National Museum soo don’t waste your time going to the museum just go to Freedom Park. The park also provides amazing venues for events and recreational entertainment. It’s stunning, clean and there are beautiful historical statues all over the park. The prison cell units are used as market stalls which is super cool, entrance is only N200 but you get it back when you leave, so technically it’s free LOL. This is a great Saturday hangout spot the food court, live music and great company goes down very well!

Why would they charge an entrance fee and then return it? Is it for destruction of property and vandalism?
I have no idea, I asked but no one had an answer 😂
Are there restaurants in the park. And if they are is it expensive
There is one we didn’t try it out because we were in a hurry but it looked very reasonable 🙂
