On our bloggers trip last week one of the places we ended up having lunch at was the ever so cosy Burrata at The Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, Cape Town. Seeing that it is in the middle of the trendy Old Biscuit Mill market the atmosphere was electrifying and very colourful making for the perfect afternoon. Our amazing waiter then went on to find us the perfect table for people watching (lol), I must say this past week I have received the best service in Cape Town than in my entire 15 years of living there. Our waiter was friendly and so full of laughter, making us feel super comfortable and relaxed. We decided to keep things simple and light by ordering some pasta and a simplistic margarita pizza. I wont lie I did feel like the menu could’ve had more options, not to say that the options it did have were bad but some variety would have been even better.

Our food arrived shortly after we placed the order which had us amazed but turned out the kitchen wasn’t as busy as most people were there for afternoon drinks. The pizza was delicious, pretty much what I would expect from a margarita pizza, nothing special about it and the pasta according to my friend as delicious as it was it could’ve looked more exciting. Presentation is everything. All in all not a bad experience, beautiful place, loved the decor it seems more like a winter hang out spot than a summer one. It’s also very affordable you can look at spending R300 for two including a glass of wine and some coffee.
