Windtown Lagoon Hotel, Langebaan, Review

My goal for 2019/2020 is to explore new places across South Africa that I haven’t been to before or haven’t revisited since I was a child and Langebaan in the Western Cape, has been number 1 on my list for a while now. As luck would have it, I had to recently visit Langebaan for a work project and got to stay at the amazing Windtown Lagoon Hotel for a few days. Seeing as it was a work trip I didn’t really get to explore as much as I would have loved to but I did enjoy my time working in the tranquility of Windtown Hotel.

Peaceful relaxation is the name of the game at Windtown, the airy, modern rooms are decorated with classic yet stylish local designs and have all the amenities one would expect in a hotel, with the ocean breeze as an added bonus.  I spent most of my days working from the pool side just taking in the fresh air and  beautiful garden surroundings in the morning. After a tough days work of filming I would then treat myself to a calming body treatment at the Spa, the hotel prides it’s self on being a top lifestyle destination and I must say they live up all their promises. For the adrenaline junkies Windtown is best know for Kitesurfing and they offer amazing tailored lessons to suit every need.

The in-house hotel restaurant Breeze is a big hit amongst locals and visitors, I really enjoyed the big sense of community you feel from the second you walk in and I am pretty sure that is why it is such a winner. The staff are super friendly and the over all atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Treat yourself to the delicious breakfast buffet and salivate over the yummy blue berry and buttermilk flapjacks or the eggs benedict.

Windtown is the perfect getaway destination if you are looking to relax, enjoy good food, meet new people while taking up some new hobbies like kitesurfing. Enjoy tranquil surroundings and just be at peace with your body, mind and soul. From just R870 a night it really is great value for money. Why not book now for the long weekend coming up in September. Treat yourself!!
