Peppadew Mild Piquanté Pepper Salmon Strudel Recipe

This week we have a new recipe for you guys made by our friends at PEPPADEW. They recently treated a host of bloggers to a Spring celebratory tasting of some of their fresh new recipes guaranteed to set your taste buds aflutter while shaking things up in the kitchen with a refreshed enthusiasm. My favourite recipe  that was shared is the Mild Piquanté Pepper Salmon Strudel which I think you guys should definitely try.

Ingredients:
360 g salmon chopped into pieces
180 g kale, blanched
90 g goat cheese, crumbled
90 g PEPPADEW® Sweet Piquanté Peppers Mild Chopped
2 tbsp fresh parsley
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste

For the strudel dough
4 cups flour
1 ¼ cups warm water
1 egg
1 tbsp oil
¾ tsp salt

Topping:
1 egg beaten with 3 tablespoons milk
Sesame seeds to sprinkle on top

Method:
1. In a bowl add the strudel dough dry ingredients together
2. Create a well in the centre and add egg, oil and the gradually add water while kneading into a dough
3. Allow dough to rest for 30 minutes
4. Lay cloth on a flat surface
5. Pull dough as thinly as possible
6. Combine the salmon, kale, goats’ cheese, parsley and PEPPADEW® Piquanté Peppers in a separate bowl
7. Place the filling lengthways across one edge
8. Roll up the strudel, brush the entire strudel with the egg-milk mixture, then seal the ends. Sprinkle with sesame seeds
9. Transfer to a prepared baking tray
10. Bake at 180°c for 20 – 25 minutes or until golden brown
11. Remove and serve
