You guys would have seen on our Instagram that we had dinner at Adega in Northcliff a few nights ago and we must say it will definitely be added to our regular places to eat at list. Everything from the moment we walked in went so smoothly and our waiters service skills were on SUPER SAIYAN level! The decor and lighting bring in a few spring touches that give it that beautiful airy fresh and spacious feel, a very nice getaway from the winter darkness. The only thing I really got lost in was the menu, I liked the magazine idea although I found it to be super distracting, it took me a while to actually focus and decide what I wanted.
Once I focused on my focus, I went on to order a bottle of chardonnay, they have an exclusive range of wines all finely crafted to complement your meal
(PSA: wine makes me happy). For starters we stuck to the lemon butter grilled calamari and the chicken rissoles which I must say they totally blew us away. We really didn’t expect them to be that delicious, damn we even ended up fighting for the last one LOL. After our dishy fight we went on to order our mains but decided to make up by sharing so we order the Pork Ribs with a Chicken Strips Salad. The main meals were pretty decent not as amazing as the starters but delicious nonetheless.
The waiter then suggested that we order dessert but at this point we were both so full that we just decided to rather relax and enjoy the wine. Now to the best part of the evening, we expected the bill to come back looking crazy expensive only for it to be R450 CRAZY CHEAP LOL. R450 for great service, starters, mains(big portions) and a bottle of good wine is not something you find everyday in JHB. AWESOME PLACE!
